I’m not very fond of lip glosses, mostly because I’m just too lazy to reapply them after eating or drinking, and also sometimes lip glosses can be too sticky. But after seeing this lipgloss in real person, the gorgeous color is simply too beautiful for me to resist.
This Terracotta gloss is one of the three glosses from Guerlain’s Terra Azzurra by Emilio Pucci summer collection. The most interesting one is not the one I have here but the #12 Porto Azzuro. I did some swatches at the counter, and don’t be overwhelmed by the color! It’s very sheer and it doesn’t look weird at all, it may act as a good lipstick color corrector!
Of course I like Porto Fino the best out of the three, or else I would’ve gotten the other ones instead. I just find the coral Porto Fino to be more wearable, and compared to Porto Azzuro, it is a lot more pigmented.
Porto Fino is a coral pink gloss, and the texture of this gloss is so smooth and not at all thick, yet the color payoff is still so amazing. Both the texture and the doe-foot applicator contributed to the smooth and feels-like-heaven application.
If the color is too bright for you, you can easily tone it down by applying the lipgloss with a light hand. You can build up the color by adding another layer, or of course with simply apply first coat heavily, it won’t go on streaky because of the texture and applicator.
But what I like most about this lip gloss is how moisturizing and non-sticky it is. It’s not particularly long wearing but I get a good 3 hours’ wear without eating or drinking much. My lips stayed soft for the rest of the day so I’m very happy with this lip gloss.
This lipgloss is limited edition along with the other products in the collection. They are already available at Guerlain counters in Hong Kong at 230 HKD, and if you’re in the States you can find this at Nordstrom etc.
